Removing wallpaper borders

I have the unenviable task of removing wallpaper border over both painted plaster walls and existing painted plain wallpaper. Aside from spraying with something like DIFconcentrate and gently scraping off are there any other ways ? Maybe I could stain block, then paint over ? Thanks !

I now have a problem with the Bedec acrylic floor paint peeling away in some areas. Applied 2 coats and all looked good when completed however I am now thinking of spot priming the areas which have peeled and then painting over again with the Bedec. Thanks Nick, I totally agree that something more permanent would be better however I think in this case the school is looking for a temporary fix until next summer contractor works.

Painting Shower block floors

Am working in a school environment and am looking for a decent water based floor paint. The existing paint (turquoise blue) is peeling away and worn in many areas. I think Coovar and Bedec may be good products however I am not sure my local merchant will be able to colour match ? Any ideas ?

Re: Protective paint / stain for large wooden poles

Thanks Nick. I have ordered Cuprinol Exterior Wood Preserver. The product does have very good reviews so that gives me confidence. I will use the Bedec Barn paint for another job I'm sure.

Re: Protective paint / stain for large wooden poles

Thanks as always Colin. As you say I may be limited on colour in matt finish but I will follow up with Bedec. If they don't do matt I may just go for a shed / fence product from the likes of Cuprinol.

Re: Durable paint

I use Diamond Matt nearly all the time and do not particularly have any issues provided you 2 coat it.

Protective paint / stain for large wooden poles

I work in a school environment and have to paint an assault course ie. the previously thinly sprayed reddish brown wooden large diameter wooden supports. I want a protective matt covering that is water based, not too expensive, available in 5litre minimum size and can be brushed. There are many reta...
