Water based paints

Post by Gavin » Mon Dec 03, 2018 3:32 pm

Hi. I have mostly used oil based products but with current environmental issues am wanting to embrace water based technology. Currently on a whole house project, interior and exterior. I have narrowed down the products to Bedec Advance Aqua, Zinsser Perma White,Crown Fastflow and Dulux Diamond.I have always used Zinsser 123 as the primer/ undercoat ,where required, as to date it has been reliable and trustworthy but wish to find out which brand's top coat would be recommended. Many thanks in advance.

M local trade store has just started stocking Tikkarila , I tried some Helmi 30 on some new doors with the w/b undercoat , can't remember what it's called but it's a bit of a mouthful , whilst they were nice to use , the coverage wasn't great and needed a few coats to get a decent coverage , but have used all the others that you've mentioned and never hd any problems with them
