Hello everyone!

Hi all,

Joined today as in need of some honest feedback and opinions. I've also posted this in General Decorating Chat

I am in the final stage for an interview to head up a sales team for a worldwide manufacturer of paint. Won't name them but let's just say they are massive in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Russia. Its time they made a better impact in the UK and challenge the norm.

As professional decorators - whether that's self-employed or working for a larger company I have a few questions:-

1. What do you look for when choosing a paint supplier?
2. What do you look for when choosing a paint brand?
3. What would make the purchasing of paint better for you?
4. Where do you put customer experience (ie the experience you get) over value for money?
5. Is cost the be all and end all?

Basically, what does a 'great choosing and buying experience' look like for you - specifically over the phone, please?

Forgive me if this is not something I should be posting but I felt it was worth a try!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!

Ok........well maybe this wasn't the place to look for opinions on this matter.

Anyway got the job - so if you need any help with Tikkurila products here in the UK, let me know.

Thanks

Hi Matt,
probably because we get phone calls all the time from paint co's wanting to conduct free market research on us. You need to get a bit smarter with interactions on social media, as well as forums (but not this one as it is not exactly busy). Questions like " What do you look for when choosing a paint supplier?" make me wince inside....I can't be bothered....sorry
