filling over expanding foam

Post by raggedtrousered » Sat Oct 06, 2012 9:47 pm

Hi all, im currently working on a kitchen refurb programme and the team im following are using expanding foam and im wondering if anybody has got any advice on the best filler to use? ive been using toupret decorators skim coat as i had some left from a previous job but its not taking too well to the foam, although its fine on the rest of the walls where tiles or old units have been removed.

Shoot the person using expanded foam! problem solve!

Sorry hate the stuff and its a pain to fill over, I'm lucky it's been a while since I work over it.
Best leave advice from some one who has more experience with it

Although the shooting bit........

Maybe try digging it out a bit so you can use a decent amount (i.e. not a skim coat) of light-weight filler like Onefill

Dig it out and either two pack or standard filler I never had any issues in the past.
